This summer, following a major refurbishment project, the National Museum of Scotland opens its doors once again in Edinburgh's historic Old Town area, allowing visitors to uncover fascinating exhibits, including the stories of Scotland’s remarkable explorers, entrepreneurs, merchants and many more who have helped to shape the modern world.
The £46m initiative will transform the magnificent Victorian part of the National Museum of Scotland (formerly the Royal Museum) into a must-see attraction for people from Scotland and around the world.
The redevelopment will see storage areas turned into public space, dated displays completely transformed and access improved throughout, so everyone will be able to share in the new museum.
